In 2003, the county government of Penghu held the first fireworks festival. For this festival had been held for eighth years. The resources of fireworks festival, in 25^th May, 2002, was happened the crash by china airline. Because of the crash, affect the tourism industry of Penghu. The County Government of Penghu for rise the tourism industry holds the special activities with China Airline flight attendant. For this activities were successful, in 2003, started the fireworks festival by the county government of Penghu and China Airline.   

Fireworks festival attracts many to come to Penghu to join the activities every year. The fireworks festival was with music and amazing fireworks and let this fireworks festival become more interesting. Because of fireworks festival let the tourism industry of Penghu become more development and commercial opportunity. Let the people of Pneghu have the chance of make money to make a living. Every year, about summer vacation, July to October are the travel time in Penghu, in other words, winter is not a good time to go to Penghu.
